Calgary, Canada Kidz Choice Preschool Full time

Kidz Choice Preschool is owned and operated as a Lay Ministry of Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

**We are currently hiring for the position of** **Part Time Classroom Assistant for the September 2024 - June 2025 preschool year**.

This is a contract position and there is potential for long term employment.

This position would start with Monday / Wednesday / Friday mornings only and would add in Monday / Wednesday / Friday afternoons once the enrolment allows it.

**Qualifications**:

- **Must Have a valid Childcare Certification of Early Childhood Educator Level 1 or 2**
- **Must Have or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid / CPR Certification**
- **Must Have or be willing to obtain a valid City of Calgary Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search**
- **Experience working with preschool aged children**
- **Knowledge of Alberta’s Early Learning and Childcare Act and Regulations**
- **Familiarity with Alberta Curriculum Framework - Flight - is an asset**

**Characteristics and Responsibilities**:

- Provides assistance to and takes direction from the Lead Teacher
- Ensures that the health, safety and well being of each child is the utmost priority
- Passionate about serving children and their families in a lay ministry setting
- Organized and works well both as part of a collaborative team as well as independently
- Self-motivated, responsible, reliable, dependable, positive and enthusiastic
- Communicates effectively with children, their families and staff members
- Attends all staff meetings, toy washing days, non-instructional days and any other events scheduled outside of regular class times
- Performs cleaning and preparation tasks that include lifting, carrying and pushing classroom furniture
- Willingness to perform other duties and tasks as outlined in the contract
