We are looking for someone willing to start from the basics, put the work in, and aim high. We are looking for a Field Operations Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious and motivated person just starting their career and willing to work hard but have fun simultaneously.

**The role includes the following activities**:

- Supporting our deployed systems as customer sites throughout the lower mainland. This includes both remote troubleshooting and on-site work. Our customers include residential and Commercial multi-unit-residential buildings.
- Understanding the hardware and software of multiple connected power and communication devices as a system.
- Using web interfaces, command-line tools, log files, physical probes, and other digital, electrical or mechanical methods to test system components in the field.
- Diagnosing hardware and software problems and correcting them, such as by reconfiguration, update, replacement, or cooperation with other team members.
- Travel to customer buildings in the lower mainland **(must have a Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle). We will pay you for gas and vehicle maintenance.**:

- Continue improving your skills, product knowledge, and workflow, including identifying tool improvements and automation opportunities.
- Formal education in (Degree or Diploma) related to computer software, hardware and/or electronics is but is not required.
- Ability to operate with limited supervisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Natural technical skills and the ability to figure things out.
- Able to recognize and identify faults in electronic components.
