We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team at Carleton University Dining Services. The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that procurement and production meets health, sanitation, and quality standards set out by the company, food industry, and/or government regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of the Purchasing and Receiving department
- Develop and maintain rapport with suppliers and clients
- Regularly review and conduct cost analysis to identify variances
- Maintain controls on inventory and conduct inventory counts as necessary
- Perform daily audits of Food Safety and Food Production to ensure compliance and identify areas where improvements are needed and develop solutions alongside the Executive Chef and Food Service Director
- Make sure processes are being followed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and coach/correct where needed
- Monitor compliance of Food Safety, Food Production and Health & Safety standards in accordance with company, provincial and federal regulations
- Ensure all employees and management have necessary Food Safety and Food Production documentation such as Temperature Logs, Cooling Logs, Cooking & Reheating Logs, Sanitation Logs, Menus, Recipes and Production Sheets
- Maintain tracking system for all Food Safety and Food Production documentation in accordance with company, provincial and federal regulations
- Participate in menu and recipe development meetings
- Manage Waste Tracking database including authorization of all waste on Waste Logs
- Leading and participating in shift meetings and production meetings
- Perform other tasks as outlined or requested by management while adhering to company, provincial and federal regulations

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a Food Service environment; previous experience in a similar role is an asset
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Good attention to detail
- Positive approach with a can-do attitude
- Able to take initiative when appropriate
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
