We currently have a **Regular Full-Time** opportunity for **Health Records Technician** in the** Health Records **department at **Bayview** Campus**.**

**Hours of Work**:
**Weekdays**: Days, 8 hrs; as per schedule

**Summary of Duties**
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis & review of patients’ charts in accordance with legislative requirements and Hospital policies;
- Processing of Surgical Day Care visits according to departmental
- Assist in other departmental duties as
- May be required to work from other sites ie. Holland Centre and SJR.

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Certified with CHIMA/Certified Health Record Technician;
- Minimum of one year experience in a Health Record Department;
- Minimum of six months experience working in a Health Record Technician role preferred;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Typing at 40 net wpm or data entry at 106 net kspm
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and maintain good public relations with physicians, patients and other hospital staff;
- Proven ability to respond effectively in stressful situations;
- Demonstrated sound judgment and diplomacy;
- Attention to detail;
