We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance/Calibration Technician to join our team

**Responsibilities**:
The Quality Assurance/Calibration Technician is responsible for providing independent inspections of the machining parts and supporting the QA team to maintain the Nuclear and Aerospace quality program. The role will help ensure customer, standard and system compliance. The incumbent assists in maintaining the quality management system and reports on any non-conformances, corrective actions, preventative actions, and improvements to the quality management system.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate outsourced calibration and repair of dimensional instruments.
- Review of Nuclear Certified Material Test Reports (CMTR’s)
- Strong knowledge in reading and interpreting GD&T symbols and machining drawings.
- Perform inspection of machining parts (Step Shaft, Spindle..) using Outside/Inside micrometer, Vernier/Caliper, Rad gauge and other manual measuring tools, as required.
- Participate in investigations, NCR’s and corrective action requests relating to CMTR and calibration specific issues.
- Perform other related duties as directed by Management

Experience/Skills/Education:

- Post secondary education in a quality related program
- Minimum 3 years experience in machine shop environment
- Well versed in GD&T, machining symbols and using manual measurement tools
- Understanding of AS9100/ISO9001 latest revision
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Multi-task orientated and a team player
- Adequate knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook)
