**JOB PURPOSE**

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the dispatcher is responsible for managing customer orders, maximizing trips, optimizing the movement of goods and drivers, all while ensuring real-time information tracking.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Coordinate Freight Transportation
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate recipients. Take messages as needed.
- Ensure awareness of all transportation-related instructions
- Provide transportation services to ensure return deliveries.
- Plan and organize routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Coordinate departure preparations, ensuring all necessary transportation documentation is ready.
- Ensure load compliance: products and quantities listed on the bill of lading, packaging, loading method, and securing.
- Monitor driver activities throughout the journey and communicate any anomalies and exceptional activities to the supervisor.
- Ensure that the truck driver is compliant with their driving hours log.
- Maximize trips.
- Ensure that pickups and deliveries are made within the specified timeframes.
- Inspect shipments to ensure compliance with basic rules regarding securing, dimensions, and weight of goods.
- Ensure that shipments are prepared according to requested specifications.
- Confirm with the truck driver that they have all required documents before hitting the road.
- Contact the customer in case of unforeseen situations and follow up on additional charges.
- Maintain customer communication to provide status updates as needed.

3. Complete Documentation
- Update UNICOM to reflect real-time service.
- Ensure that reports are properly completed for their closure.
- Generate operational tracking tables.
- Update the status of trailers in the system.

**COMPETENCY PROFILE**
- College degree (in transportation logistics, an asset).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation;
- Bilingualism (French-English).

**Salary**: From $65,000.00 per year
