At the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) we are committed to achieving innovative, ground-breaking health and medical research that fundamentally improves the quality of life for all people.

The Digital Media Coordinator will work with the broader Media and Communications team to implement SAHMRI’s relevant strategic plans with the goal of increasing awareness of SAHMRI and enhancing its reputation. This role will specifically focus on SAHMRI’s online presence through its website and social media platforms. The role will report to the Head of Media and Communications and also support SAHMRI’s Brand and Communications Officer with design and branding duties as required.

About the role
Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinate and implement the organisation’s social media activities and plan ways to grow SAHMRI’s social media base on:

- Facebook
- Twitter
- LinkedIn
- YouTube
- Create engaging visual and written content that is suitable for each platform
- Moderate social media engagement and monitor analytics
- Design and implement paid marketing as required
- Assist with the development of SAHMRI’s new website including design/layout and content creation and population.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge and demonstrable experience in planning and implementing creative social media strategies with a high level of professionalism.
- Experience with website maintenance and content management systems.
- Experience in a professional communications, marketing or equivalent environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to develop productive working relationships and manage those relationships with maturity and confidence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and to work under pressure with a degree of autonomy.
- Demonstrated competencies in dealing with work requiring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
