We are a newly renovated Italian & South Asian fine dining restaurant located in the heart of downtown of Bowmanville. As a member of the Basilico team, you will maintain high team morale and a standard of 100% guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring prompt and accurate order delivery
- Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
- Upsell additional menu items and promotions to increase sales
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage station and work area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling and preparing beverages
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure compliance of all standards and procedures relating to provincial workplace safety standards.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of service (or bar) working experience in a high volume restaurant
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating order totals
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Smart Serve Certified or Food Handling Certificate (preferred)
