**Program Evaluator / Researcher - 1-year Full-Time Contract (possibility of extension)**

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Evaluator/Researcher will support our research and evaluation endeavours. The Program Evaluator/Researcher is responsible for conducting literature reviews, data analysis, and a mixture of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
**As the Program Evaluator/Researcher, you will**:
- Following correct confidentiality policies and procedures while handling primary and secondary data including ethics review where required.
- Quality-checking and entering quantitative data into database
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews using peer-reviewed literature and grey literature to support ongoing and new research projects, identifying relevant studies, trends, and gaps.
- Assist in designing and implementing research methodologies and evaluation proposals, including surveys, interviews, and data collection protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports, including data visualizations and summaries, to assist in the development of strategic recommendations.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of research activities, including datasets, documentation, and correspondence.
- Capable of project managing research activities so that all key milestones are met on time and multiple tasks can be addressed concurrently.
- Support the creation of knowledge transfer materials including presentation packages and manuscripts.
- Stay updated on relevant trends in the field and inform research activities
- Perform other duties as required
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Researcher or Program Evaluator, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Must have a Master’s level degree in research, evaluation and/or social sciences.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and information including quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Familiar with various data analysis software including SPSS, NVIVO, others
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- A passion for the mission and goals of Street Haven and a commitment to supporting research that drives social impact
**Where we work**
This role is based in Downtown Toronto and requires working in-office 5 days, a total of 40 hours in a week.
