MakerKids, the hottest growing technology for kids concept is undergoing unprecedented growth. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to be a Customer Service Representative (Customer Happiness Officer) for our Bloor West Village location and global virtual operations. We are looking for someone who is a customer experience pro to represent the MakerKids vision and support our MakerKids community.

**What does a Customer Service Representative representative do?**
- Represents MakerKids energetically, passionately, and professionally
- Customer service
- Sales
- Admin
- Supports kids and their families as they come in and out of class, have questions about our programs, and have issues that need to be solved
- Keeps the Centre and virtual operations running smoothly, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall positive customer experience
**JOB DUTIES INCLUDE**:
- Responds immediately to member requests, inquiries and concerns.
- Maintains accurate records using established MakerKids customer service systems.
- Conducts telephone inquiries/follow up calls/customer care calls
- Leads MakerKids makerspace previews with prospects and/or program holders
- Greets members and guests promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile to create a friendly positive entrance into the MakerKids makerspace
- Sign in / sign out procedures
- Tech help for families joining virtual classes
- Accurately follow the daily studio cleaning checklist (pre/during/post) shift activities
- Maintains an organized and clean lobby/front desk area
- Responsible for processing accurate cash and credit card transactions
- Follow up and follow through activities with current and prospective clients
- Maintains an effective referral program
- Proper onboarding of MakerKids clients
- Works closely with MakerKids Team to ensure that processes are fulfilled
- Responsible for attending and participating in all related MakerKids training programs
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous sales experience, with strong sales skills (experience working in a sales quota bearing structure highly preferred)
- Solid verbal and written communication skills required
- Able to multi-task and excel in a busy environment.
- Functional computer skills required - MS Office basic programs (Word, Excel), Internet, computer program software use
- Camp & Technology minded people strongly preferred
- Ability to work and function in a MakerKids TEAM environment (Team is more than a just a word, it's an attitude)
- Ideal if you have worked in a startup and built out customer service / customer success procedures and team
**What do I need to be successful in this role?**
- You enjoy working with other people, especially kids and their families
- You are passionate about the MakerKids brand, approach, and mission
- You are energetic, outgoing and approachable
- You are a customer experience pro Experience in sales and management of kids' programs is considered an asset, though sales and reception experience in a customer service environment is also good (preferably 2 years or more)
- You have strong oral and written communication skills.
- You have very strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- You are interested in being a part of a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace
- You are inspired by getting involved in a growing maker movement
**Working with MakerKids**
Some work-from-home / virtual work is possible, and some in-person work will be required at our Bloor West Village location. Our bright, colourful, playful makerspace office is located at 2451 Bloor St. West, which is easily accessible through public transit. This is a full-time, permanent position with hours including evenings and weekends. We're also a social impact organization, which means we believe in using business as a force for good.
