Our fun, full-day workshops are very popular with teachers, students, and parent volunteers. You don't need in-depth knowledge of photography but a love of nature, an appreciation of art, and an ability to share your enthusiasm with children would be key assets.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist the Lead Instructor with school workshops: assisting students with their cameras, photography walks,
- Lead groups of students in outdoor activities including nature sculptures and photo scavenger hunts
- Works with Lead Instructor and teachers to provide safe, fun, and structured program
- Assist with maintaining and regular sanitization of equipment including cameras, laptops, and projector
- Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Positive attitude and a love for working with children
- 1 year of experience working/teaching with children
- Communication and leadership skills
- Interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Interest and knowledge of nature and photography is an asset
- HIGH FIVE® certification and Quest 2 certification are considered assets
- Must possess own transportation

**Conditions of employment**
- You must be prepared to work under the government's COVID19 health protocols as established for schools
- Must be willing to submit a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check upon hire.

**Covid-19**
- COVID-19 protocols for schools: wearing masks and eye protection, social distancing, daily screening, regular sanitization of materials
- The role includes visiting various school classrooms
- Double vaccination required

Part-time hours: 35 per week
