**Responsibilities including but not limited to**:
**Patient Triage**: Assist in evaluating the severity of patient illnesses or injuries and determining the order in which they'll be seen.
**Patient History**: Gather detailed patient histories, including current complaints, past medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
**Physical Examinations**: Under the supervision of a licensed physician, assist in preliminary physical exams, noting vital signs, and documenting findings.
**Vital Signs Measurement**: Regularly take and record patients' vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
**Diagnostic Assistance**: Assist medical staff in the collection of samples for diagnostic tests such as blood draws, urinalysis, or other lab tests.
**Urine Dips**: Perform urine dipstick tests, analyzing and recording results.
**Procedure Preparation**: Prepare and set up rooms for minor medical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
**Assist in Clinical Encounters**: Support medical staff during clinical encounters, ensuring they have the necessary tools and information.
**Medical Record Management**: Update and maintain electronic medical records (EMRs), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality. This includes charting patient information and printing relevant documents.
**Patient Education**: Provide patients with information and education regarding their conditions, medications, procedures, or any other pertinent medical advice, under the guidance of a physician.
**Collaboration & Communication**: Collaborate with the healthcare team, including nurses, doctors, and specialists, to provide coordinated care. Communicate findings and observations to the attending physician.
**Equipment Maintenance**: Ensure that medical instruments or equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and properly stored.
**Continuous Learning**: Stay updated on medical knowledge and guidelines. Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars as necessary.
**Administrative Duties**: Schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, make follow-up calls, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
**Adherence to Regulations**: Ensure all tasks and interactions adhere to the local health regulations, guidelines, and the policies of the institution.
**Emergency Response**: Provide immediate care in emergency situations, stabilizing patients and assisting medical staff until more specialized help arrives.
**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
