We are seeking an energetic, passionate educator to be a member of the academic team delivering English and Communications courses within the schools of Applied Sciences and Technology and JR Shaw School of Business. These positions will be on a casual as needed basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and deliver relevant course material for various levels as may be required for Communications/English courses
- Give qualitative and quantitative feedback to students on assignments and exams
- Prepare and improve quality of course outlines and related curriculum materials as required
- Follow and adhere to NAIT policies, procedures and Academic Regulations
- Seek feedback from students on instructional effectiveness
- Maintain open communication with other Communications/ English instructors and the supervisory team
- Liaise with receiving program staff to ensure content relevance and appropriate content levels
- Demonstrate a desire to contribute to NAIT, the School of Applied Sciences and Technology, and the JR Shaw School of Business
- Have well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills
- Have excellent teaching skills with a commitment to teaching upgrading, diploma, and undergraduate students
- Be committed to student engagement and success
- Possess a dedication to life-long learning and integrity
- Work effectively in a team environment with English and Communications, as well as receiving program staff
- Have a working knowledge of MS Office products and be willing to learn other software and learning management tools
- Have an interest in scholarly activity, applied research, and innovation

**Qualifications**:

- A relevant Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s degree is an asset)
- Instructional and course development experience in English literature, communications and/or technical writing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**Remuneration**:commensurate with education and experience
