**Role**

Your role will be pivotal to the successful operation of a variety of projects, some in remote and challenging environments. It is important that you are local to Squamish, BC as you will be working from our Yard in that area.

You will need to ensure that we have all the resources, equipment and materials necessary for continued operations. As a rope access company our equipment is unique to our business, and that means you need to be familiar with or willing to learn and handle climbing equipment and tools, ropes, harnesses, vehicles, etc.

Keeping regulatory certifications up to date, negotiating with vendors, purchasing, maintaining, storing, and keeping track of all the tools and equipment is essential.

This is a hands on position, so you will be expected to handle the equipment, check for damages, wear and tear, and make sure everything is well maintained and stored.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Willing and able to physically handle the equipment on a regular basis (be hands on)
- Able to work at the Yard in Squamish, BC
- Manage 2 to 4 employees
- Develop procurement strategies that are forwarding thinking and cost-effective.
- Source and engage with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Receive requisition forms, obtain appropriate approval, issue purchase orders
- Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Review and process purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Perform assessments on potential job equipment and material requirements and determine feasibility and build a procurement plan.
- Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Oversee, manage, and administer the systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Prepare procurement reports.
- Forecast company wide equipment & material needs
- Communication of equipment and material needs to the equipment and yard hands
- Scheduling of equipment and yard hands dependent on workflow needs
- Review Equipment and Material job orders, initiate any procurement and communicate orders to the team for fulfillment.
- Manage equipment & materials inventory
- Manage equipment & yard safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance

**Procurement Manager Requirements**:

- Proven experience managing supply chain operations of at least 4 years.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms. Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Salary**: $40.00-$55.00 per hour
