12 Month Contract with possibility of extension.
This Junior IT Support Technician role requires installation, configuration, and support for PC’s, Laptops, Servers and Network hardware.
Support is usually required for Office based staff and will extend to Remote Office sites, Retail outlets, manufacturing plants and warehouses.
This role requires flexibility in work schedule and flexibility of work locations.
**Key competencies**:
- Must be a good problem solver, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to new and changing technologies.
- Individual must have good customer facing skills and be well presented.
- Must be a good communicator in English in verbal and written.
- All work undertaken must be logged via a Service Desk Reporting Tool and this must be kept up to date and accurately and clearly indicate the incident details and remedial actions taken. Team Members are reviewed on both the quantity and quality of logged calls.
- Must be able to work to specified standards and required levels of conduct and sound ethical workplace practices. Must be able to work alone and unsupervised, taking the initiative when necessary.
- Individual must have at least 1 years experience in a similar support role. Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting routers, and network hardware would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of security practices related to access controls, backups and firewalls.
- Intermediate experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and associated architecture/services (Active Directory, Group Policy, server roles, DHCP, DNS, IIS)
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), storage protocols (SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI) is a benefit.
**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- On call
- Weekend availability
