**Excavator & Loader Operator - Full-Time | Haliscape Construction**

**Location**: Halifax, NS

**Job Type**: Full-time, permanent (not seasonal)
**Wage**: $26.00-$32.00/hour, based on experience
**Hours**: 40-50 per week

**About Us**
Haliscape Construction is a Halifax-based landscape and construction company specializing in high-quality residential projects. We’re a small but driven team, focused on professionalism, safety, and craftsmanship. Due to recent staffing changes, we’re looking to bring a new **Excavator and Loader Operator** onboard to help keep projects running smoothly across HRM.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, and skid steers, for earthmoving, grading, and material handling
- Execute trenching, backfilling, and general site prep tasks according to plans or grade sheets
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe, reliable performance
- Coordinate with your crew and supervisor to meet daily goals and deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols and promote a safety-first attitude on-site
- Participate in occasional snow clearing during the winter season

**What We’re Looking For**
- Minimum 2 years experience with excavators or loaders in construction or landscaping
- Comfortable reading grade sheets and following layout plans
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Able to troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on equipment
- Physically fit and willing to work in various weather conditions
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills

**Nice-to-Haves (Not Required)**
- Skid steer operation experience
- First Aid certification
- Familiarity with hardscape installation or residential grading work

**Important Notes**
- Job sites are located throughout HRM and **not transit accessible** - reliable transportation is a must
- Work on Saturdays may be required depending on project timelines

**Ready to Apply?**

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

- French not required
