**Job Description**:
Our Bartenders take pride in their food, wine and spirit knowledge. They display natural showmanship, have great communication skills and an eye for detail. A Bartender receives beverage orders and makes beverages in a timely and efficient manner maintaining all O&B standards. They also communicate beverage descriptions and modifications with team members to ensure guests receive their requested beverage.

**Duties**:

- Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service
- Knowledgeable of all food and beverage items in order to make recommendations
- Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other offsite functions and services
- Ensure accuracy when counting product in the beginning/ ending of the event
- Ensure guests are satisfied with their food, beverage and service
- Ensure accuracy when making all beverage orders
- Present beverages in a clear and organized manner at the service bar pick up area
- Communicate beverage descriptions, specials and information to guests and team members
- Setup and take apart (satellite) bar area
- Stock, prep and maintain all bar products including mis en place
- Check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels
- Count and take inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist manager with inventory ordering
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Receive beer, wine and liquor orders on delivery dates
- Wash, polish and arrange glasses in a neat and attractive display
- Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies
- Follow all food and beverage safety standards and systems
- Ensure all borrow beverage kits are clean and returned to place
- Other duties as assigned or required

**Please note that this position is has flexible, on call hours.**

**Qualifications**:

- SmartServe Certified
- Prior experience as a bartender and/or server in a similar environment
- Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage and/or Special Events Program is an asset
- Wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is required
- Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift and move beer kegs, liquor and wine boxes
