**Housekeeping Aide Position Chinook Care Center**

**Location**: Chinook Care Center

**Position Type**:Casual (0.40 FTE)

**Shift**: Flexibility required

**Salary**: As stated within the Collective Bargaining Agreement

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the provision of quality cleaning services to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetic environment for facility customers [residents, guests, and staff].
- Follows policies and procedures and work routines.
- Ensures a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Works in partnership to improve the performance of individuals, teams, and the organization in providing improved customer service for residents, guests, and staff.
- Performs other duties as required.

**Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements**:

- **Previous experience in Housekeeping and cleaning is preferred**:

- Brings a caring, compassionate, and empathetic approach.
- **Ability to read, write, and comprehend English**:

- **Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined, including physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stretching, mopping, and lifting heavy objects. Must be free of allergies or related conditions that may be aggravated by work with detergents, soaps, and chemicals regularly used in the department.**:

- Knowledgeable regarding the use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Demonstrates concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents
- Demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to function as an effective team member with other staff, residents, families, and the public.

**Job Type**: Casual

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (required)
