**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Therapy Assistant assists in the provision of treatment programs designed to meet the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs of facility customers. Adheres to policies and procedures, and work routines. Ensures a safe and sanitary work environment. Works in partnership to improve the performance of individuals, teams, and the organization in providing improved customer service for residents, guests and staff.

**Qualifications**:

- Brings a caring, compassionate and empathetic approach.
- **Minimum of two years experience in a Continuing Care setting is required.**:

- Preference given to applicants with work experience related to cognitively impaired persons.
- Preference given to applicants with training in programs related to rehabilitation, recreation, or nursing for health care workers.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined.
- Demonstrates concern and interest in providing a safe and attractive environment for facility customers, i.e. residents, guests, and staff.
- Demonstrates effective communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to function as an effective team member with other Staff, Residents, Families, and the Public.

**Location**: Southwood Care Centre

**Position Type**: Casual with availability to work day shift

**Shift**:8:00-16:00

**Salary**:$18.80 - $24.32 per hour depending on the experience
