**Hours of Work**:15 weekly - working 3p -6pMonday to Friday

Under the general supervision of the Director and the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, the Early Childhood Educator is responsible for maintaining and developing the children's program with their group of children in the Lumsden Childcare Center. All Team Members must adhere to the policies and regulations as set out in the Parent Handbook and Child Care Staff Manual.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing a safe and educational environment for all children
- Programming for children utilizing the Play and Exploration principles
- Be a team player, punctual, reliable and have a positive attitude
- Support and work collaboratively with parents and all stake holders
- Communicate professionally, effectively, and respectfully

**Qualifications**:
Required:

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- CPR/First Aid level C
- Criminal record check with vulnerable sector check

Asset:

- Experience working with children in a licensed childcare center
