**Hours of Work**:37.5 weekly - 9:30a-6p Monday to Friday

**Length of Position**:6 Month Term

Under the general supervision of the Child Care Director and under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, the Child Care Educator -Education Assistant is responsible to maintain and develop the children’s program with their group of children based on their Personalized Program Plan. All Team Members must adhere to the policies and regulations as set out in the Parent Handbook and Child Care Staff Manual.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing a safe environment for all children
- Programming for children utilizing the Play and Exploration principles
- Be a team player, punctual, reliable and have a positive attitude
- Support and work collaboratively with parents and all stake holders
- Communicate professionally, effectively, and respectfully

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Experience working with children
- Minimum ECE Level I Early Childhood Education
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- CPR/First Aid level C
- Criminal record check with vulnerable sector check

**Asset**:

- Experience working with children with diverse needs
