As part of our strategic expansion, we are seeking an experienced and innovative Buyer with a strong focus on China sourcing to join our growing team.

**Job Summary**

The Buyer will play a pivotal role in driving new product development, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating closely with quality control teams in China. This role requires strong analytical abilities, creativity, and negotiation skills to support effective sourcing and product launch strategies. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential, as the position involves direct communication with overseas factories and suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification**
- Identify market gaps and emerging trends using market research and analytical tools
- Research customer preferences and industry developments to inform new product ideas
- Monitor competitor activity to ensure product innovation stays ahead of the curve
- Understand customer pain points to support the creation of practical and value-driven solutions

**Product Innovation and Development**
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative product concepts and enhancements
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and design teams to bring products from concept to launch
- Assist in building and supporting the go-to-market roadmap for new product releases

**Supplier Collaboration and Quality Control**
- Work directly with China-based suppliers and quality control teams to ensure production standards are met
- Support quality checks and proactively resolve any issues during development and manufacturing
- Maintain clear and timely communication with overseas partners

**Cost Analysis and Contract Negotiation**
- Analyze total product costs, including production, materials, logistics, and landed cost
- Ensure proposed pricing aligns with margin targets and market expectations
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract discussions, securing favorable terms for cost, delivery timelines, and quality standards
- Develop supplier agreements that protect the company’s interests and ensure supply chain reliability

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product sourcing, development, or procurement, especially with suppliers in China
- Strong analytical and research skills with a data-informed approach to decision-making
- Creative problem-solver with experience developing product features or enhancements
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts
- Excellent collaboration skills across product, marketing, and supply chain teams
- Strong understanding of cost structures, including shipping, customs, and production costs
- Fluency in Mandarin is required for effective communication with Chinese partners
