Together we are more than 5,000 dedicated faculty, librarians and staff supporting the University of Victoria’s diverse academic programs, world-class research and commitment to civic engagement. **_*This position is eligible for a Hybrid Work Arrangement*_** **The salary range for this position is**: - **Recruitment range: $75,755- $83,525** starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement. - **Performance range: $98,528** salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases. - Job Summary **Mandate**: **Objectives**: - Ensure the accurate drafting, review, and approval of donor gift agreements to align with UVic's policies, legal requirements, and donor intent. - Streamline agreement processes and workflows to improve efficiency and maintain compliance with university policies and external regulations. - Provide expert guidance and support to fundraisers, donors, and university stakeholders on policies, procedures, and best practices related to gift agreements and fund compliance. - Monitor and enhance mechanisms for fund tracking, compliance reporting, and donor stewardship to ensure funds are used effectively and transparently. - Job Requirements This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in fundraising, business, accounting, legal studies, business administration or related field plus a minimum 3 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. **Knowledge, skills, and abilities include**: - Experience with oversight of agreement or contract workflow including, drafting, reviews, approvals and revisions. - Familiarity with fund compliance, including monitoring usage to ensure it aligns with donor intent and policies, addressing compliance issues, and supporting proper fund administration. - Proactive judgement and initiative to manage day to day operations. - Ability to collaborate successfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of the university. - Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment. - Ability to convey information concisely with clarity, accuracy, and nuance in both verbal and written communication. - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with senior organizational leadership and partners. - Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and tailor communication style for different audiences and situations. - Superior attention to detail. - Experience in maintaining confidential and sensitive information. - Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Advanced skills in MS office (in particular Excel). - Demonstrated proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM. - Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment. **Assets**: - Experience with higher education and/or a complex organization. - Understanding of CRA regulations related to gifts. - Understanding of fundraising practices and principles. - Familiarity with Docusign or other document management software. **Territory Acknowledgement**:We acknowledge and respect the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Esquimalt) Peoples on whose territory the university stands, and the Lək̓ʷəŋən and WSÁNEĆ Peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. **What UVic Offers**:To learn more click here.
