Machine Operator

Our new Vancouver location is currently seeking Food Production Operator to join our growing Western team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct startup check and routine inspection to minimize machinery downtime and product wastage.
- Understand all aspects of product manufacturing, including ingredient preparation, proper production methods and quality standards
- Report potential problems in order to have all equipment are operating in a smooth and efficient manner.
- Review daily production schedule, bean loading plan, and machinery operation of the production.
- Stop production when product quality is in doubt and reports problems to Production Management Team, Quality Assurance Manager and Maintenance team as soon as possible. Ensures food safety standards are met including SQF and GMP.
- Provide assistance to maintenance technician during emergency repairs if necessary.
- Ensure safety features are in place during production.
- Manually operating of equipment (if practical) at the time that the system is not able to run at regular mode
- Takes care of worker’s duties when unexpected situation arises.
- (Males incumbent) Participate in daily bean loading together with production workers
- Substitute workers for breaks and absentee workers if necessary
- Provide guidance and instructions for workers to ensure that they understand their daily assignments

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- High school graduate or equivalent qualification
- Technical diploma preferred but not necessary
- Minimum 1 year production experience
- Food Industry work experience is preferred
- Good verbal and written English language skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability
- Strong teambuilding and motivation skills
- Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure and with mínimal supervision.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Permanent Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Shift rotation (AM & PM)
- Work is performed 100% in production facility
- Exposure to noise and a wet temperature varied environment when in the production area
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs
