Looking for a fun-packed winter opportunity at Mount Evergreen? We are currently hiring for the coolest job on the hill - The Life Operators

The ski hill is open Friday night(5-9), Saturday and Sunday (10-4) to general public as well as some private functions such as school programs during the week. We are looking for up to 7 employees to work between 1-3 shifts per week.

**Responsibilities**:
A lift Operator is someone who attens and operates a lift station. This means you are; loading/unloading skiers, grooming load/unload areas and lift lines, always looking/listening to observe proper operation of lift, assuring proper and safe lift use is practiced. We are willing to train you if you do not have prior experience.

Lift operators work outside for 2-4 hours in-between breaks on approximately 20 minute rotations. This means you are expected to dress properly and have a basic understanding of working in the cold (rotations include a few indoor stations as well). You would work around, and operate a ski lift (a mechanical device that moves skiers up the hill) and must grasp mechanical concepts as well as basic assembly of bullwheels and towers ( which you would also be trained on ). Lift operators work around people and are responsible for the safety of said people. They must be able to communicate well, in person or via radio. Liftees often have to be able to clearly and quickly transfer only the important information in an understandable way to our guests.

**About you/Qualifications**:
Must be 15 years or older to apply, cannot fail a background check or vulnerable sector check IF requested at any time. Cannot operate a lift if on any medication that specifically states to not operate heavy machinery when using. May not, under any circumstance, come to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which renders you unfit to operate a ski lift. Must be available for at least 1 shift a week, unless requested time off is made.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4-5 months

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week
