With over 40 years in Emergency Medical Services, **Associated Ambulance** is the 2nd largest Ambulance Operator in the province. We provide ALS, BLS as well is IFS services to 23 locations in rural Alberta. We have exciting opportunities for Permanent & Temporary Full-time employment as well as offer casual employment status, for those who require a little more flexibility.

**Role Expectations**:
- a defined scope of practice that includes the provisions of Advanced Life Support (ALS) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures
- administer pre-hospital medical care
- check and monitor vital signs, measure blood glucose levels and use other diagnostic procedures
- perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- provide oxygen, administer medications including intravenous (IV) treatments, perform bandaging and splinting, assist in childbirth and provide initial treatment to trauma patient
- stabilize an injured or ill person
- hospital transports
- patient assessments
- collaborate with other emergency medical personnel, physicians, nurses and other health professionals.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program or Primary Care Paramedic program.
- Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic or Primary Care Paramedic.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
- Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's license with an abstract indicating no serious traffic safety violations - abstract will be requested and must be provided to meet hiring qualifications
- Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six months prior to the start date.
- Must provide a vulnerable sector check
**Position Information**:
- Recognition of previous EMS experience may be accepted to determine wage grid placement
- HSAA CUPE salary scales

- PCP: $26.01 - $41.51 per hour
- ACP: $34.42 - $50.13 per hour
- ACP: $40 - $42.77 per hour flat rate for casuals
