**About Us**

We are an independent optical serving Oshawa and the Durham Region since 1978. We have worked hard to build a strong reputation for Service and “going the extra mile” for our patients, and we often provide options and solutions they cannot find anywhere else.

Our extensive lens catalogue, ability to customize frames and tints, and extra services such as Vision Therapy, Customized Contacts, Low Vision, Safeties and Repairs has created a fun and dynamic kind of practice with opportunities for our Opticians to engage their own interests within the field.

We foster a workplace that is positive, inclusive, collaborative, and generally _fun_, but there are a lot of moving parts, therefore **attention to detail and good work habits are critical.**

**Important**:
We are NOT the sort of place where you can coast by and rely on computers to take all your measurements and pick your lenses for you. Each patient is treated as an individual human and given all the individual care and attention that comes with that ;)

- You enjoy meeting lens and frame reps and asking them about the products directly;
- You appreciate being asked your opinion and included in planning and discussions;

- You are still willing to learn new approaches;
- You do your best to care for the patients;
**Our Non negotiables**:

- You must be able to work well in a team environment.
- You must treat each and every patient with respect, care, and dignity.
- You must prioritize “getting the fit right” over “upselling them on a frame”.
- You must have well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
