Production Planner/scheduler

**Kromet International Inc.** manufactures finished metal components and assemblies for the Appliance, Furniture, Automotive, Urban Transit and LED Lighting marketplaces. We are currently seeking an ambitious and organized individual capable of multitasking in a fast paced **Production Planning** position.

**Duties Include**:

- Implement a master production and scheduling plan for various product groups, ensuring level loading, manpower planning and customer needs are met in a timely, cost-effective manner. Create forecast and capacity planning to optimize material/labour resources
- Create detailed weekly production schedule for various departments optimizing customer expectations, raw material inventory and operational efficiency
- Works closely with purchasing to ensure raw material and component delivery meet manufacturing objectives
- Work with Customer Service and Program Management to anticipate production requirements
- Daily review of departmental progress to plan and make adjustment to meet objectives. Compiling data for reports on progress of work including production problems
- Attending to priorities for production optimization
- Monitor production progress; estimate materials and labour required for production departments; co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary in Materials Management
- 2-5 years scheduling and manpower planning experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills - MS Office. Aptitude to learn new software and computerized systems
- Critical thinking, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain composure, multi-task and prioritize under pressure
- A persistent personality and ability to ask assertive questions in order to gain a complete understanding on necessary information
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
