**The Opportunity**:
PTW is looking for a **Structural Drafting Checker** to support our steel fabrication division. This is a** full-time permanent position working on-site Monday-Friday.** If you have previous experience working with steel, we want to hear from you

**A Day in the Life...**
- Responsible for the quality assurance of models/documents on assigned projects created by the drafting department throughout the drafting process, ensuring compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Checks early material takeoffs for procurement, as well as production material sheets and final order quantities.
- Checks erection/site material sheets for conformance to design and drawings, as well as for accurate quantities.
- Checks steel tickets for accuracy to erection drawings, formatting, and clarity.

**Experience Requirements**:

- 2+ years of previous experience performing checking and/or drafting work. A combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Proficiency with Tekla or similar modeling software a strong asset.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding construction documents and fabrication drawings.

**Other Requirements**:

- Must have own transportation as facility is not currently transit accessible
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and be resourceful.
- Ability to work independently or with a collaborative team
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated ability to produce high quality work
