Senior Piping Checker Bluestar Engineering Ltd. is a Calgary-based EPCM company specializing in oil and gas and renewables projects. We are a group of professionals who form a fully integrated multi-disciplinary organization backed by many years of experience. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fulfill the role of Senior Piping Checker, in which the primary tasks involve checking and quality assurance of 2D and 3D CAD drawings and designs. Duties and Responsibilities: Checking of 2D drawings such as Plot Plan, PFDs, P&IDs, Piping Arrangement and Isometrics utilizing the 3D model and Navisworks viewer. Review overall Piping Layout, checking for design issues, clashes, etc., utilizing 3D model and Navisworks. Reviewing all vendor drawings, mechanical and instrumentation to ensure their compliance with related project requirements and 3D model. Checking of BOMs. Requirements: Process Piping Design diploma or equivalent is required. 7 + years of checking experience. 7 + years in an EPCM setting. In-depth knowledge in AutoCAD and CADWorx drafting software. Familiar with standards and specs such as CSA and ASME. Personable and able to work with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment. Proven ability to manage various projects and meet deadlines within project scope. Ability to adjust to change and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
