Samsung Channel Development Coordinator

The Samsung Channel Development Coordinator is a function specific to Lava’s SimulCharge division and product line. The Samsung Channel Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and instigating most if not all contacts with Samsung personnel across all global regions where Samsung operates.
A more granularized and specific day to day and point form KPI type description follows.
**Job Description/Responsibilities**
- Establish and grow contacts within the following Samsung sales regions
- UK, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Germany, Italy and Spain
- These regions are to start with due to prior contacts and contracts but will be expanded upon
- Broaden network of Samsung sales and other relevant department contacts i.e. marketing, events etc.
- Use existing contacts to gain introductions or to search for possible unexplored or unknown connections (includes “cold” messaging reps to begin conversations and connections)
- Create and maintain org chart or equivalent of relevant Samsung departments and people within them (that have contact with or should establish contact with) and what they are responsible for and if LAVA should contact them needs specific to them arise
- Acquire permission to sign-up all Samsung reps to the newsletter and keep this list up to date as new connections/contacts are made
- If unable to sign up to newsletter invite or have them follow social media channels (primarily LinkedIn)
- Establish and keep up contact with Samsung personnel capable of generating case numbers and communicating with tablet/phone engineering development teams
- Facilitate communications between LAVA engineers and Samsung teams to find and fix issues on tablets and phones that are not compatible or having issues with LAVA hardware
- Follow up and drive these communications to ensure devices are updated to work with LAVA hardware when possible
- Maintain existing contacts while periodically refreshing the contact and presenting/explaining LAVA’s products and technologies
- Drive communications with Samsung reps to inform them of new and existing LAVA products and technologies
- If no tailored information can be created (either not applicable or nothing relevant/new available) drive and keep communications open through general information about LAVA news, products or technologies every 1-2 months
- Provide LAVA sales and marketing personnel with 3-6 month road maps about Samsung devices
- Determine which trade shows Samsung will be showcasing/presenting at
- Contact Samsung personnel involved with organizing the Samsung presence at these trade shows to get space within their booths or have products featured
- Lobby existing Samsung contacts to get new mobile devices, permanent or on loan, for compatibility testing
- Provide and pass on to Lava sales personnel opportunities being pursued by Samsung reps where LAVA adapters may be relevant
- These opportunities may be “hot” leads where Samsung personnel are actively searching for a contact person at LAVA or “cold” leads where Samsung or the customer may not be fully aware of the fit or opportunity for LAVA products
- Provide marketing with ideas and general directions being pursued by Samsung mobile in their own sales and marketing endeavours (including verticals and overarching ideas being focused on)
- Request and work with marketing to create correct and tailored presentations and materials for later dissemination and targeting of Samsung personnel and/or divisions
- Participate in LAVA social media work and/or campaigns by working with marketing to strategically post or re-share content relevant to LAVA on personal LinkedIn page
- Provide feedback from these posts to better guide marketing as to which topics and posts gain the most feedback, response and traction
- If possible travel with LAVA sales and marketing personnel to trade shows to meet with Samsung reps and acquire new contacts and leads
Note: this position may be expanded in the future to include other major mobile device manufacturers including but not limited to Lenovo.
**Compensation and Benefits**:
- Annual salary of $60 to $80k - dependent on experience and past history
- Paid based on a 40 hour work week
- Permanent, full-time position
