**POSITION: Process Improvement Specialist**
**UNIT: Transforming Care Office**
**STATUS: Temporary Full Time **_(Approximately November 18, 2024 - January 9, 2026; may end sooner or be extended)_
**SALARY: $44.46 - $52.02**
We are seeking a dedicated Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in enhancing operational efficiency and patient care quality within our hospital. You will collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative solutions and streamline workflows. Your role will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

**WHAT YOU MUST HAVE**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Improvement or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Quality and Process Improvement using LEAN methodology and, with preference being given to those who possess Healthcare and Industry experience
- Has implemented a Lean Management System, and has experience facilitating and managing QI projects, including Kaizen, 6S events, FMEA, PDSA, metrics development, process and Value Stream Mapping and other Lean tools and methods
- Familiar with conducting experience-based co-design projects and experience with the Strategy Deployment
- Demonstrated leadership and personal drive to achieve results, and the ability to focus one’s attention on accomplishing key objectives and positive outcomes for oneself and one’s team
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to understand data sets
- Understanding of computers, software, and the ability to leverage these tools in a health care setting
- Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and self-reflection
- Demonstrated dependable and acceptable performance and attendance record
**WHAT WE PREFER YOU TO HAVE**:
- Master's degree in health care administration, Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Improvement or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:

Our vision is **Together**, creating health care excellence for our community**.** Reporting to the Manager, Transforming Care, the Process Improvement Specialist serves as expert in Lean philosophy, theory and tools. In addition, this position is responsible for:
- Coaching, guiding and mentoring a culture of continuous improvement in the pursuit of an excellent patient care experience
- Developing tools, support analysis, and implement strategies for the successful achievement of continuous improvement goals
- Facilitating and engaging participants using the Lean Management system
- Planning, developing and delivering education and training
- Providing one on one coaching, mentoring and support to individual leaders, staff and improvement teams
This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to show-case their strengths and talents in LEAN process improvement, process redesign, program evaluation and development. The incumbent will play a key leadership role in developing LEAN strategies and will work collaboratively at all levels of the organization to ensure quality service delivery.
