**Job Summary**
The STBBI Outreach & Harm Reduction Worker will provide education, testing, and support services to individuals who use drugs and those experiencing homelessness, with a focus on reducing the transmission of Sexually Transmitted and Blood-Borne Infections (STBBIs) such as HIV, Hepatitis C, and other STIs. This role involves street outreach, shelter drop-ins, community presentations, harm reduction distribution, and client case management to connect individuals with medical care, housing, and social services.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **STBBI Education & Awareness**
- Conduct informational sessions on HIV, Hepatitis C, and other STBBIs for community members and shelter residents.
- Deliver training for community partners (shelters, outreach teams) on STBBI prevention and harm reduction strategies.
- Develop and distribute culturally appropriate, trauma-informed educational materials.

2. **Outreach, Testing & Harm Reduction**
- Organize and facilitate weekly drop-ins at shelters, encampments, and community spaces to provide STBBI testing and harm reduction supplies.
- Conduct street outreach to engage hard-to-reach populations and distribute condoms, sterile injection supplies, pipes, and other harm reduction materials.
- Administer or facilitate rapid HIV/Hep C testing and provide pre
- and post-test counseling.
- Refer clients to PREP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis), PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), and treatment programs as needed.

3. **Client Support & Case Management**
- Provide one-on-one casework to help clients access medical care, housing, income support, and addiction services.
- Follow up with clients to ensure linkage to STBBI treatment, mental health services, and other supports.
- Advocate for clients facing systemic barriers (e.g., healthcare access, criminalization of drug use).

4. **Community Collaboration & Advocacy**
- Build partnerships with shelters, public health teams, harm reduction supply organizations, and clinics to improve service coordination.
- Participate in community advocacy efforts to promote harm reduction policies and decriminalization initiatives.
- Collect and report data on outreach activities, testing outcomes, and client needs.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Experience in harm reduction, outreach, or social services (experience with homelessness and substance use preferred).
- Some knowledge of HIV, Hep C, STIs, and harm reduction principles is an asset.
- Ability to engage with diverse populations in a non-judgmental, trauma-informed manner.
- Comfort working in non-traditional settings (streets, shelters, encampments).
- Lived experience with homelessness, substance use, or STBBIs is valued.

**Work Conditions**:
Full time, Monday to Friday 8:00-4:00 with some flexibility as needed.

Community-based work (street outreach, shelters, public spaces).

Travel required between sites

Personal vehicle is required.
