The Transformation Metrics team in Retirement Operations is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, team oriented BI Specialist, who enjoys working alongside other BI developers and data science teams in the creation and enhancement of BI solutions by building data models and visualizations and working with other technical teams to extract, transform and load (ETL) data to build operational dashboards. This position within the Transformation Metrics team and requires background and experience in previous data and analytics development roles, BI tools, and a strong aptitude in finding creative solutions while always having the customer at the forefront of their thinking.

**Still Interested? Here’s what you’ll be doing.**
- Working with Data Analysts, Data engineers, BI developers and directly with stakeholders in the development, enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence dashboard and database management.
- Management of data systems including server management, ETL process, running queries and performance management
- Working with business analysts in the creation of data requirements, and owning the creation of data and system requirements for smaller initiatives
- Experience working with low code/ no code tools to develop data intake solutions including Power tools such as Power apps, Power automate, amongst others
- Working with other organizations within Manulife, such as integrating solutions with AWD, Apollo or working as part of data engineering squad
- Coach & mentor more junior staff and review work product for quality and the following of best practices
- Providing System Support Consulting
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies
- Educate staff on new processes and tools.

**What you bring to the table**
- College or university degree in engineering, computers and/or data analytics and/or a minimum of 4-6 years of on the job experience.
- Solid knowledge of data visualization tools including Power BI and/ or Tableau
- Experience working on database management tools including, SQL, Oracle, MS Access
- Experience with server management and performance improvement
- Experience working with low code/ no code tools to develop data intake solutions including Power apps and Power automate would be a strong asset
- Familiarity with Azure, Google and/or Cloud technologies would be a nice to have
- Strong communication & collaboration skills (proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders)
- Experience working in an Agile team and passionate about the Agile mindset
- Very strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Developed Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the financial/investment industry an asset
