Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects. Your expertise in estimating costs and negotiating prices will contribute to the success of our projects.

**Duties**:

- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine materials, labor, and equipment required
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam and Excel to create estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and identify potential challenges or opportunities
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process and make adjustments as necessary
- Provide support during the bidding process by reviewing proposals and making recommendations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documents
- Strong negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

HIRING EXPERIENCED FRAMING PROJECT ESTIMATOR: PT/FT W.F.H. AVAILABLE FOR PROJECTS RANGING FROM 500-40,000 SQ.FT.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS;
- 3+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A CONSTRUCTION DRAWING READING PROFESSION OR IN THE FRAMING FIELD, ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL, AND MECHANICAL.
- EXPERIENCE USING REVIT BLUEBEAM OR OTHER DRAWING VIEWING/MARKUP PLATFORM.
- EXPERIENCE USING MICROSOFT EXCEL; ALTERING AND CREATING USEFUL AID TOOLS.
- EXPERIENCE USING MICROSOFT WORD; WRITING S.O.W. AND DETAILED QUOTES.
- EXPERIENCE CREATING ROUGH CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE; AND IMPLEMENTING JOB COSTS.
- DRIVERS LICENSE TO CONDUCT SITE VISITS/INSPECTIONS.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- construction estimating: 2 years (preferred)
