Commercial Estimator (Full-Time) – Electrical & HVAC | Cleanroom Projects Preferred

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and HVAC estimating, with cleanroom or controlled environment project experience considered a major asset. This role requires excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects, including cleanrooms, laboratories, and specialized environments.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine scope and materials required.
  • Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients during the pre-construction and bid process.
  • Develop accurate take-offs for electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Assist in value engineering, budgeting, and project planning.
  • Maintain cost databases and historical pricing records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial estimating experience (electrical and/or HVAC).
  • Cleanroom, lab, or high-tech facility experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
