**Behavioural Interventionist**

**Job Type**: Part - Time 20-30 hours / week (2 weeks on 2 weeks off schedule as our daughter splits her time between two homes too far to share BI's)

We are looking for a Behavioural Interventionist on a part time permanent care basis to provide support for our on with 11 year old son with high functioning ASD and ADHD. The BI will provide behavioural support and respite in the home as well as out in the community, and work closely with the family caregivers. The focus of this care will be on teaching him social & self management skills, playing and getting him outside for exercise and having fun

**Requirements**:

- Previous training in Behavioural Intervention preferred
- A clear criminal record
- Be 19 years of age or older
- Have a car to go on outings preferred but not mandatory
- References

Minimum of two years experience working with children with autism and/or ADHD & ASD.

During school: Mon-Fri (3PM - 6PM).

Summer: Flexible, but currently looking for the week of July 3rd, July 11th, Aug. 7th as well as potentially a few hours after 3PM on the other week during the summer. We are open to discussion on these hours as our summer plans are still coming together.

Our son is very bright, loves army, cars, Nerf gun battles, drawing, comedy, Lego, riding his bike, reading and swimming. We are looking for a fun and confident person he can connect with and trust who will become part of his life for the near future because consistency is key for her.
