Live-In Home Caregiver (Full-Time, Dec 27 – Mar 15)

Location: Near West 41st Ave & Canarvon St, Vancouver (Kerrisdale area)

Schedule: 5 days per week
• Live-in position
• Paid training available before start

We're looking for a kind, responsible, and reliable live-in caregiver to support an my 95 year old mom who is mostly independent and lives in her condo. This position offers a peaceful home environment and a private furnished suite in exchange for compassionate care and companionship.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks
  • Keep the home tidy (light cleaning and laundry)
  • Assist with one weekly shower and daily routines
  • Record daily temperature, blood pressure, and weight
  • Remind her to take medications as scheduled
  • Shop for groceries (Save-On-Foods nearby or online delivery)
  • Offer gentle companionship and help her maintain a comfortable routine

What We Provide:

  • Underground parking
  • Private furnished one-bedroom accommodation
  • All meals and utilities included
  • Calm, family-oriented home environment
  • Up to 4 hours of paid training between Nov 1 and Dec 23 with the current caregiver

About You:

  • Previous home care or elder support experience preferred
  • Kind, patient, and dependable
  • Able to cook simple, balanced meals
  • Non-smoker
  • Spanish-speaking is an asset (my mother speaks both Spanish and English)

Hours: Full-time, approximately 60 hours per week (live-in, 5 days per week)

Compensation: $18 per hour + room and board provided

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
