Solutions Specialist

The Solutions Specialist - Leaves will be responsible for timely and accurate handling of the Time & Attendance systems transactions for all Air Canada employees in Canada. While providing employees, managers and other internal/external partners with assistance relating to benefits administration, leaves and HR transactions functions as needed.
- Responsible for the day-to-day handling of the employee time & attendance reporting in the HR Systems
- Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating ownership of issues / concerns being raised by employees.
- Escalate processing issues with regard to day-to-day processing
- Liaison with various stakeholders to review, investigate and resolve issues and facilitate timely Time & Attendance Administration processing
- Act as primary contact between third party vendor and local Human Resources to ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions and employment time tracking changes.
- Act as a resource to the internal Centre of Excellence Team
- Participate with the analysis and implementation of new processes while improving existing procedures
- Support process improvements
- Promote collaborative development and enhancements to the HR e-Tool Kiosk through continual review with the client groups to attain on-going proactive process improvements
- Escalate and participate in the improvement of identified gaps in processes.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of college degree with relevant experience
- PeopleSoft knowledge and experience an asset.
- Ability to exercise impeccable judgment, confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of tact and discretion at all times when dealing with employees and sensitive situations.
- Ability to work under pressure with speed and accuracy and establish priorities while maintaining a high customer service level.
- Demonstrated customer-service orientation and high degree of diplomacy.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel and ability to manipulate date and produce correspondence, reports and other documents.
- Ability to translate Reports and Queries into common terms.
- Understanding of payroll, asset
