**Job Overview**
We are looking for an aspiring carpenter to join our team as a Carpenter’s Apprentice. You will work under the supervision of a journeyman carpenter, assisting them in their duties while you train and gain a better understanding of your trade. An apprenticeship with Beattie Builds will provide the on-the-job training required to take the provincial licensing exam. Experience in residential construction is beneficial, as well as familiarity with common power and hand tools. You need strong communication skills to coordinate with other workers, in a faster-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist a journeyman carpenter with construction and remodeling projects
- Help build wooden structures
- Learn and practice essential carpentry skills on the job
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Set up and maintain tools for your supervising carpenter
- Learn the process of project timelines to help the project run efficiently
- Have transportation to every jobsite for the daily start time

**Qualifications**
- Basic understanding and willingness to learn about carpentry.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 2000+ hours of carpentry work experience (approx 1 year on the job)
- Basic math skills
- Familiarity with common power and hand tools
- Experience in construction
- Physical strength and stamina
- Strong communication skills
- Must have your own vehicle

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $18.42-$26.39 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 52 per week

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Secondary School (required)
