Apprentice Carpenter

$20-$30

Overview

**Responsibilities**:

- Arriving at the jobsite on time
- Performing tasks as directed by the Lead Carpenter while maintaining an awareness of schedule requirements and asking for additional support as needed to keep the project on track
- Taking initiative to help the Lead Carpenter maintain a clean and well-organized jobsite
- Demonstrating consistent awareness of and adherence to proper jobsite safety practices
- Learning to facilitate subcontractors on site as needed
- Maintaining professionalism when communicating with client, and ensuring that requests from the client are quickly and accurately communicated to the Lead Carpenter or Project Manager
- Submitting coded receipts to the Lead Carpenter in a reliable and timely fashion
- Submitting accurate timesheets on a weekly basis
- Other duties as assigned

Physical ability requirements:

- Work an 8 hour day of physical labour
- Work inside and outside throughout the year
- Ability to lift 50lb over a sustained period of time
- Ability to safely carry out a full slate of physical demands throughout a work day of construction such as climbing ladders and scaffold, reaching and lifting overhead, shoveling

Skills/Requirements:

- Fully Vaccinated for Covid 19
- 1+ Years construction site experience
- Hand and power tools as needed to adequately fulfill duties of this position
- Interest in learning about Green Building
- Working at Heights, Standard First Aid and WHMIS an asset
- Strong interest in working with a team to maintain a positive and safe working environment
- Teamwork and interest in participating in a positive company culture
- Maintain good construction standards and quality control
- Access to a reliable Vehicle and G Class license with insurance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
