**Currently we are hiring a Full Time Engagement Facilitator(Support Worker DSW/SSW/CSW/PSW) (Days Monday
- Friday).**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ability to be focused on and skilled at engaging participants through meaningful interactions
- Implement meaningful, creative and thoughtful programming within the Day Program as well as when out in the community.
- Foster relationships built on trust
- Learn and utilize communication methods preferred by participant/s
- Comfortable using a portable manual and ceiling Hoyer lift
- Assist with lifts, transfers, personal care, feeding (when required)
- Ability to work with and support individuals with various abilities, interests, and needs
- Communicate with manager any changes in participant condition, incidents, difficult events etc.
- Connect/disconnect G tube feeding bags
- Complete suctioning when required
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Complete documentation as required
- Disinfect, clean and tidy program at end/beginning of day
- Follow and adhere to the program Policies and Procedures and Practices

**Requirements**:

- Successful completion of post-secondary education (diploma/ certificate) in DSW/SSW/CSW/PSW, Intervenor, or similar
- 2-5 years experience and training within the Developmental population is preferred.
- Proven professionalism, accountability, responsibility, and reliability
- Aptitude and ability for manual lifting and dexterity
- Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Maintains positive relationships to deliver person/family centred care
- Flexible and patient
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR level A (minimum)
- Current Criminal Reference Check (for vulnerable population) (within 6 months)
- Attend and contribute to regular team meetings as required

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
