Harmony Health Integrative Centre is seeking a part-time Patient Coordinator to join our team of passionate and dedicated practitioners. We are located in Okotoks, with a reputation for providing excellent patient care in our community. We offer Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Manual Osteopathy and Massage Therapy.

The role of patient coordinator provides general reception and office duties as well as being a liaison between patients and staff. You will work under the supervision of our doctors, attending to the management of the medical office, checking in patients, and taking care of anything else the practitioners might need to effectively run a medical practice.
- Job Description:_
- Greet patients and direct them through their office visits delivering an exceptional patient experience
- Manages and maintains the clinic’s schedule, book appointments for patients based on practitioner’s availability and confirm appointments
- Collects and processes payments from patients and insurance companies using EMR
- Collect proper patient information, maintaining and respecting the confidentiality of patient and office information
- Answers the phones and addresses all patient questions and concerns
- Keeps the office clean and presentable, ensuring equipment is cleaned between patients
- Restock rooms, report any stock, office need or concerns to management
- Liaises and collaborates with other Health Services providers on behalf of the clinic or patients
- Ensuring linens are washed and rooms stocked throughout the day
- Perform opening and closing office duties
- Performs other office duties as required/needed
- Work with mínimal supervision ensuring that patient service is your highest priority
- Be attentive to patient's and doctor's needs
- Utilize strong verbal communication skills with doctors, other team members and patients
- Engage and interact with patients and uphold the policies and values of the office
- Promote & support a team environment willing to take on additional roles and challenges as they arise
- Qualifications:_
- Must be personable with a professional demeanour and able to exercise courtesy and tact with all patients.
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be organized and be able to problem-solve
- Must have strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient with technology with fast typing skills and ability to learn medical and insurance billing software programs
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with mínimal supervision the majority of the time.
- Must be passionate about delivering high-quality customer experience and contribute to the building of customer relationships
- Strong customer service/customer/patient focus experience and skills
- Customer care focused with a caring, enthusiastic, intuitive, responsible and mature nature
- Must be health-minded and believe in and live a health-promoting wellness lifestyle
- Energetic, self-confident, always smiling
- Ability to create a warm and caring environment
- Professional telephone manner & ability to communicate with tact & professionalism
- Ability to complete tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
- Should be able to take direction well and be efficient and thorough with every task
- Knowledge of Naturopathic Medicine is an asset but not required however interest in learning more is preferred.
