**About Us**

We are a well-established landlord specializing in new build and renovation of commercial retail properties. Our head office is in Barrie, Ontario and our project locations are spread throughout Ontario.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking someone full time with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple commercial retail construction projects simultaneously, from start up, including tendering, budgeting, scheduling to close outs. We are looking for someone who is ready to step into our fast-paced environment and provide the support needed to drive success through this position. This position will report to the Director of Construction.

**Duties and Key Responsibilities**

To excel in this position, you must have the ability to multitask and have a high attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of Ontario Building Codes and the ability to review construction drawings such as Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical
- Ability to review lease schedules in conjunction with construction drawings to ensure scope requirements are being addressed
- Provide precise feedback to consultants for revisions as needed based on drawings
- Manages day to day duties for new site builds and renovation projects including reporting on budget estimation, scheduling, RFIs, COs, and all other administration related items
- Experience with complete building envelope and manage multiple small to large projects simultaneously from new builds to renovations
- Set up all projects and coordinate with various building departments, engineers, architects, government authorities etc
- Manage final close out of all projects ensuring all permits are closed, all deficiencies are completed, and tenant issues related to constructionare resolved
- Create project budgets, ensure budgets are followed, advise Director of any increase in budgets
- Manage external partners with new tenders and RFPs, according to company guidelines, including awarding of contracts and approvals of quotes and proposals
- Liaison with General Contractors, subtrades and suppliers for scheduling and costing
- Create, manage, and maintain site schedules.
- Meet all given timelines and report immediately when timelines may be compromised
- Obtain multiple quotes where possible to execute cost-effective projects
- Ensure company safety policies and protocols are followed

**Qualifications**
- Commercial retail construction experience is mandatory
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Construction Manager or Site Supervisor
- Experience working on mid to large scale commercial projects
- Proficient with Microsoft software including Excel and Word
- Knowledge in working with General Contractor and sub-trades in the construction field
- Ability to track each project and provide updates as required
- Highly disciplined and detail oriented
- Is a motivated self-starter and comfortable leader
- Must be able to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Must be able to work independently, set goals, and be proactive
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle are required

This position will require 50% travel throughout Ontario and 50% in the office (Barrie)

Expected start date: 2-8 Weeks

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
