Analyst Data Visualization

**Job Overview / Purpose**
As a Data Visualization Analyst at Chartwell Retirement Residences, you will be key in converting complex data into actionable insights that support the company’s strategic objectives. You will partner with business and technical stakeholders, especially in strategic planning, finance, and operations, to understand their needs. Collaborating closely with the Data & Analytics team, you will contribute to developing impactful dashboards that drive informed decision-making across the organization.
**Key Accountabilities **Business Collaboration**
- **Strategic Planning & Analysis**:Collaborate with strategic planners and analysts to visualize data that supports long-term planning, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking. You will help transform broad datasets into visual narratives that enable executives to make informed decisions about the company’s future direction.
- **Finance & Operations Decision Support**:Work closely with the finance team to develop visual tools that enhance decision support in budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking. Your work will ensure that financial data is presented clearly to guide operations, cost management, and resource allocation decisions.
- **Requirement Gathering**:Engage with various business units to gather detailed requirements, ensuring that the visualizations meet current and future business needs. You will bridge business goals and technical execution, ensuring that the dashboards align with strategic objectives.
**_Dashboard Development: _**Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports. These tools will be distributed across the organization to support a wide array of decision-making processes.
**_Data Interpretation: _**Translate complex datasets into easy-to-understand visual formats. These visualizations will be crucial for stakeholders at all levels, helping them to derive insights quickly and effectively.
**_Quality Assurance: _**Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of all visualizations before they are released. This includes conducting rigorous testing and soliciting feedback from end-users.
**_Documentation: _**Create documentation that outlines the technical specifications and parameters related to the reports.
**_Training & Support: _**Provide training sessions and user guides to help end-users understand and make the most of the dashboards. You will also be the point of contact for any ongoing support related to these tools.
**_Continuous Improvement: _**Stay abreast of the latest industry best practices, tools, and technologies in data visualization. You will continuously seek ways to improve the quality, interactivity, and impact of the dashboards you develop.
**Qualifications**
**_Education: _**
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, such as Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science etc.
**_Experience: _**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data visualization or business intelligence, focusing on supporting strategic and financial decision-making.
**_Skills & Abilities: _**
- Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Strong functional understanding of SQL, DAX, Power Query, Power Pivot, and Python.
- Proven experience working in cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and others.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills.

- Occasional extra hours required, especially during peak project periods or deadlines.
