We are currently seeking a **Mine Operator 1.3** to join our team. This is a full time permanent position with our Atlantic Operations based at our Touquoy mine. The work schedule is 4 days on, 4 days off working 12 hour shifts. Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment (haul trucks, excavators, loaders and / or various support equipment) to meet mining objectives.

**The opportunity**:

- Complete competency training on three or more pieces of mobile equipment. Achieve competency sign-off by Heavy Equipment Operations (HEO) Trainer.
- Responsible for safe use and inspection of required equipment each shift
- Reporting damage or malfunctions to vehicle immediately to the Mine Operations Supervisor.
- Assisting in all aspects of daily mine activities as directed by the Mine Operations Supervisor with an active focus on supporting material movement and reporting.
- Performing assigned tasks with a focus on minimizing impact to the efficiency of material movement.
- Understanding and working to site specific survey and geology lay-outs.
- Providing clear, accurate reports in relation to assigned tasks.
- Practicing good housekeeping, clean cab, windows, mirrors regularly with special focus on shift changes.
- Abiding by all vehicle operation policies on site.
- Undertaking other duties as assigned.

- Working safely is a condition of employment.
- A Class 5 Drivers License.
