Accounting Clerk - Hospitality, Food & Beverage
Georgian Communities is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to oversee the Hospitality and Food and Beverage accounting.
REPORTS TO
VP, Finance
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Update and maintain financial records, prepare reports and reconcile bank statements and credit cards.
- Utilize accounting software programs, such QuickBooks, Tee-On, Touch Bistro, to process accounts payable and receivables, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Ensure accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Data entry of financial transactions.
- Provide assistance and support to hospitality team.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Compile reports/summaries on activity areas and report findings to management on a weekly basis.
- Develop and ensure compliance of internal financial controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Competency in MS Office, and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Successful reference and background check.
