The opportunity

The Onboarding Specialist plays a vital role in KPMG’s activities. As someone instrumental in welcoming new talent to the Firm, this person must be well organized and available, in addition to having good interpersonal skills.

The Onboarding Specialist will be the initial contact for new professionals joining the firm and will need to provide an outstanding integration experience. Working alongside administrative teams and managers, this person has a key role in KPMG’s organizational structure.

What you will do:

- Welcoming new talent to the Firm, motivating people with our vision, inspiring them with our values, providing the tools needed to promote our long-standing reputation, and preparing them for the opportunities that will drive their careers and the Firm’s growth.
- Providing assistance within the People and Knowledge pillar
- collaborating with our Human Resource Manager, coordinating People initiatives.
- Coordinating all activities related to onboarding and departures of Permanent, Students and Contractual new hires
- Working with the Strategy & Operations Senior Manager, IT and HR
- Performing various follow-ups prior to the arrival of new employees in collaboration with our TAX Partners
- which includes making announcements and choosing team members (buddy system) as well as performance managers.
- Being a resource person/contact to answer people’s questions.
- Doing the necessary administrative work for employee transfers or departures.
- Updating the local documentation provided to new employees.

What you bring to this role:

- College diploma, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Perfect command of French and English, both spoken and written to ensure communication with our internal and external stakeholders
- At least two years of experience in an HR related role
- Resourcefulness, proactivity, good interpersonal skills and strong organization skills.
- Basic project management skills.
- Sound analytical thinking and good judgment in detecting discrepancies, analyzing gaps and seeing trends.
- Proficiency with Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Mandatory presence at the office
- 2 days a week
