**What You'll Bring**:

- This position requires a BS/BA Degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of two years of experience administering a multi-user computer systems in a web hosting environment.
- A minimum of two years of experience with common Web Applications (HTTP, SSL, SMTP, DNS etc).
- A minimum of two years of experience working with database management systems.
- Technical background for this position requires UNIX, LINUX Administration experience, scripting experience (Bash, php, perl, java ) and SQL Programming skills.
- Experience in Database administering would be an asset.
- Experience with CISCO Routers and Firewalls in a Web hosting environment would be an asset.

**Impact You'll Make**:

- Maintains and provides operational support for computer systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoots equipment, software and telecommunications problems and provides problem determination and resolution for users.
- Monitors the system for speed and performance and availability.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to the Security Policy recommending improvements/concerns to management.
- Maintain and develop comprehensive documentation on all Datacentre systems and procedures.
- Develop automatically generated scheduled technical reports and produce manual management reports.
- Responsible for recommending, developing, enforcing and maintaining procedures to ensure the security and standards of new and existing systems.
- System Security Administration to include the setup and assignment of system user Ids.
- Monitors the system audit logs as well as the Security violation reports produced by the credit reporting system.
- Responsible for system change control by coordinating and promoting all system changes from TransUnion into the testing and production environments.
- Ensures integrity of new and existing systems.
- This position also serves as an advisor to management on technical planning.
- Implementing all IT projects as assigned by management.
- Ensures all files are received from Subscribers on schedule.
- Processes received files.
- Prepares and distributes reject files and statistics and maintains physical media and logs of all files.
- Maintain backups of systems and databases.
- Works closely with the Data Analyst in constructing SQL queries and DB2 scripting and analyzing results for reports and investigations.
- Provides help desk support and operational support for computer systems, networks and equipment for Subscribers and TransUnion associates, with technical or operational issues, both on and off site, (e.g. PGP or accessibility problems).
- Monitors use of SFTP site.
- Reviews Security logs provided by INFOSEC to determine if there was a security breach.
- Works with various departments in TU Chicago and Canada to implement and support and maintain all security initiatives.
