**Job Summary**

The System Administrator should have a hunger to learn and broad knowledge of computer software, hardware, and networks. They will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting AESI’s computer systems.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Administer servers, laptops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, VOIP phones, software deployment, security updates and patches
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Issue, track, and maintain technology equipment
- Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues
- Document Admin workflow, processes, and infrastructure
- Take part in training staff on new technologies
- Implement, Configure, and Maintain network servers such as file servers, database servers, mail servers, domain controllers, FTP servers, and VPN gateways
- Implement, Configure, and Maintain VMware environments
- Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
- Create and verify backups of data
- Provide input to future upgrades and improvement with the technology infrastructure
- Provide support to AESI’s Practice Areas on client project work related to IT, cyber security, networks and security, etc.

**Qualifications**
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; professional certification is a plus
- Experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role preferred
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Experience with concepts of Network Topologies, Routing, Switching and Firewall Rules
- Experience with Virtual Server Environments and/or Hypervisors (VMWare)
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Microsoft/Linux)
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to travel to the United States

**_Bonus: _**
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes
- Experience with Cloud Networking/Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service, Anisble/Teraform)
- Experience with cloud administration (M365, Azure AD, MS Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience with git or similar code management Dev Ops workflows

**Working Environment**
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment with mínimal physical effort required; hybrid remote work schedule is offered
